Seller's responsibility ceases once the cargo is placed alongside the vessel at the quay. The exporter assumes inland transport and pre-boarding fees.

FOB (Free on Board)

Seller fulfills obligation when goods pass the ship's rail. Includes inland transport, port fees, clearance, and stowage.

shield

CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight)

Same structure as CFR, but with the obligation for the seller to contract and pay for international marine insurance.

CFR (Cost and Freight)

Seller places cargo on board and pays international sea freight to destination. Risk of loss transfers to buyer at loading.
